MALAI PANEER (CREAMY SPICED PANEER CURRY)

MALAI PANEER (CREAMY SPICED PANEER CURRY)

Soft, melt in your mouth paneer that is coated in a beautifully aromatic spicy creamy sauce which can be ready and, on your table, in under 30 minutes! One of the richest and heavenly curries you will ever try.

I absolutely adore paneer and this is one of my all time favourite recipes, not just because it is incredibly quick and easy, but the end result is one of the most delicious curries I have ever had.

Each paneer cube gets coated in this luscious creamy sauce that has the perfect balance of spices, and the sprinkling of the methi (dried fenugreek) at the end takes this curry to another level. Its amazing how such a small thing can make all the difference, but I guess that’s the beauty of spices as it is so vital to get the right balance and right spices as that’s what can make the difference between an ok curry and an amazing blow your mind curry.

Please do not skip anything out and try to source the exact ingredients because after several trials this is truly the perfect balance of spices that make this malai paneer absolutely heavenly. Served with paratha or naan, I guarantee this will be one of your go to recipes for curry night!

  • 1-2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder (or ½ tsp red chilli powder)
  • 2 green birds eye chillies
  • 500g paneer cubes (If shop bought, soak in warm water for at least 10 minutes to soften)
  • 1 cup (240ml) double cream
  • ½ tsp - 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

  • Step 5 Add the paneer cubes, stirring to ensure each cube gets coated with the spices.
