Deliciously light and soft donuts that have little pieces of moreish Oreo cookies baked into them and dipped in a luscious white chocolate and mascarpone glaze and sprinkled with Oreo dust. An indulgent treat for any Oreo fan!

My little daughter is the biggest Oreo cookie monster I have ever seen. She absolutely loves Oreos. At only 3 she gets actual Oreo cravings and is not happy until she gets her Oreos! My little munchkin was off from nursery for not feeling well and as a result missed her school trip to the farm which she was very sad about and so I wanted to do a little something to cheer her up, and I knew that these gorgeous donuts would be perfect for my Oreo and donut loving daughter.

My beautiful little baker helped me make these donuts, and by that, I mean tasting every single ingredient, and of course licking the batter and eating a few Oreos here and there! As she rubbed her tummy in delight whilst eating warm donuts straight out of the oven it was clear she had forgotten all about her missed trip and was in her own little Oreo heaven!

These donuts are unbelievably soft and just so full of yummy Oreoness. I like to use the double stuffed Oreos as the extra cream filling gives the donuts such a delicious flavour. These donuts are delicious eaten just as they are, but for that extra luxurious cookies and cream yumminess the glaze is just divine. Its basically a quick  white chocolate ganache, mixed with mascarpone to cut through the sweetness and to give an added creamy finish. These donuts are a little bit of heaven for any Oreo fans out there and are a definite must try!

Ingredients
  • Donuts:
  • 1 ½ cups (190g) plain four
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (125g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup (60ml) oil
  • ¾ cup (180ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla paste
  • 5 double stuff oreos, broken into little pieces
  • Glaze:
  • 75g white chocolate
  • ¼ cup (60ml) double cream
  • ¼ cup (55g) mascarpone
  • ¼ tsp vanilla paste
  • 4 double stuff Oreos, crushed to a fine powder
Directions
  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • Step 2 In a large bowl thoroughly mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 3 Make a well in the centre and add the melted butter, oil, milk, egg and vanilla. Whisk until fully combined and you have a smooth batter.
  • Step 4 Stir in the Oreo pieces.
  • Step 5 Thoroughly grease the donut tin with oil.
  • Step 6 Fill each donut ring nearly all the way to the top. I like to transfer the batter into a piping bag and then easily pipe out the batter into the donut rings in the tin.
  • Step 7 Bake for 10 – 12 minutes, until donut completely set and golden and toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Step 8 Allow donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the tin and then take them out of the tin.
  • Step 9 Make glaze: In a microwavable bowl combine the white chocolate and cream, and microwave on high for 30 second intervals until the chocolate just starts to melt. Remove from microwave and keep stirring till fully melted, allowing the warm cream to melt the chocolate. Need to be very careful not to overheat in microwave as white chocolate burns very easily.
  • Step 10 Mix in the mascarpone and vanilla and whisk till smooth. If you prefer a thinner glaze add a little bit more cream.
  • Step 11 Dip each cooled donut halfway into the glaze and immediately sprinkle with the Oreo dust before the glaze sets.
  • Step 12 Enjoy x
